Tachometers
These process instruments can accurate measure the rotation speed of rotating components. Tachometers usually displays the RPM (revolutions per minute) on a digital display or analog dial. We carry contact tachometers (the shaft of the rotating component is coupled to the shaft of a small DC generator and the output voltage of this generator is fed to a voltmeter which scale is calibrated in units of rpm) and photo/photo-contact tachometers (a piece of reflective material is affixed to the rotating component and the photo tachometer emits a beam of infrared light which is directed towards the reflective target).
